Presentation of a MARBEL-related paper at the ARES Conference
The MARBEL project was disseminated during the International Conference on Availability, Reliability and Security (ARES Conference) celebrated from 30th July – 2nd August in the University of Vienna (Austria).
Julian Blümke, project’s partner from the Technische Hochschule Ingolstadt (THI), attended the conference and presented a paper based on some work and research done as part of MARBEL. The paper, titled “An Analysis of Security Concerns in Transitioning Battery Management Systems from First to Second Life”, has been co-authored with THI partners Kevin Mayer and Hans-Joachin Hof.
The paper introduces the cybersecurity lifecycle of battery management systems (BMS) and highlights the cybersecurity needs and requirements necessary for transitioning BMS from their first life to second life applications. As part of MARBEL, project partners are actively working on designing battery systems that can be seamlessly transferred to second life uses.
The ARES Conference is a leading forum focused on advancing research in the fields of cybersecurity, dependable systems, and information protection. Bringing together experts from academia, industry, and government, ARES promotes the exchange of innovative ideas and solutions to address emerging security challenges. The conference covers a wide range of topics, including secure systems, data protection, and risk management.
