MARBEL project takes part in the Battery Innovation Days 2021
MARBEL project has participated at the Battery Innovation Days, the 1st edition of the annual conference on battery research and innovation, celebrated in an online format from 23rd – 25th of November 2021. The event was organised by the Batteries European Partnership Association (BEPA), Batteries Europe and BATTERY2030+, in partnership with the Batteries 1st and 2nd IPCEIs.
The Battery Innovation Days brought together the whole European battery research community to discuss about the latest developments achieved, exchange views on strategic approaches to deploying key technologies and to assess future challenges and needs for a more competitive and sustainable European value-chain. The event provided key opportunities and knowledge to battery industry, research and policy makers offering a better understanding of the EU funding and tools for batteries, new networking opportunities with a strong community and first-hand information on the short and long-term industrial R&I roadmap.
During the event, MARBEL has been presented in a virtual booth, as a key European project manufacturing the next generation of battery packs with the objective to accelerate the mass market take-up of electric and hybrid vehicles. Specifically, MARBEL project is designing and developing a new compact, modular, weight-optimised and high-performance battery pack with longer life, greater energy efficiency in charging and energy use based on a robust and flexible battery management system (BMS) along with ultra-fast battery charging and cooling.
The event also included the presentation of different European projects such as ASTRABAT, BALIHT, BAT4EVER, COBRA, BIG-MAP, CoFBAT, DEFACTO, CUBER, HELIOS, HYDRA, LIBERTY, LiPLANET, SIMBA and SENSIBAT, among others.
The Batteries European Partnership Association (BEPA) is an international non-profit making association aimed at promoting research and innovation for a more competitive, sustainable and circular European value chain.
