MARBEL technical coordinator presents the project in a session on useful life of electric batteries and circular economy
The MARBEL project was presented during the session “Electric batteries: useful life and circular economy” organised by Tarragona Engineers and celebrated online last 1st of December.
Alberto Gómez, project’s technical coordinator from Eurecat, delivered the presentation “Modular and reusable electric batteries” and took this opportunity to introduce MARBEL as a key European project manufacturing modular and reusable Electric Vehicles batteries for an environment-friendly and lightweight mobility sector.
Additionally, the presentation included an explanation of the BATTECH initiative, a joint research and innovation flagship centre designed to cover the whole of Southern Europe’s battery ecosystem R&D&I. Created in collaboration with IREC and Eurecat, the centre encompasses research, development and innovation across the entire value chain of the next generation of electric cells and batteries for the electric mobility, renewable energy and capital goods markets.
On the other hand, during his intervention, Alberto Gómez mentioned COBRA and FREE4LIB, two other European projects working on the fields of electric vehicles and circular economy topics.
Representatives from KM0 Energy, Wallbox company and the Catalan Institute of Energy (ICAEN) also participated in the event.
