MARBEL project takes part in the TRA Conference celebrated in Lisbon
Partners from MARBEL project participated in the Transport Research Arena Conference (TRA2022), the largest European research and technology event on transport and mobility, taking place from 14th – 17th of November in Lisbon (Portugal).
Alberto Gómez, project’s technical coordinator and head of Electric Mobility and Energy Storage at Eurecat, participated in the session “Batteries for automotive applications”. The event was organised as part of COLLABAT cluster activities and had the objective to discuss about the current challenges facing Electric Vehicles batteries and present the latest approaches to overcoming them from three different research and innovation clusters.
The session was also attended by representatives from ALBATROSS, HELIOS and LIBERTY, the projects participating in the COLLABAT cluster together with MARBEL.
On the other hand, Violeta Vargas, project partner and researcher at the Waste, Energy and Environmental Impact Unit of Eurecat, has participated in the strategic session “LCA approaches and circular economy to enhance sustainability of mobility solutions, including tendering process”, aimed at discussing on the possible visions for LCA approaches shared amongst the entire transport sector, contributing towards a cost-efficient, sustainable and inclusive future mobility.
During her presentation, she explained the main work and results achieved within MARBEL related to Life Cycle Assessment topics, and introduced other European mobility and transport projects such as COBRA and Fatigue4Light.
During the three days of the conference, a MARBEL video has been displayed in the European Commission booth as a key EU project developing innovative and competitive lightweight battery to accelerate the mass market take-up of electric and hybrid vehicles.
The TRA Conference is the foremost European transport event covering all transport modes and all aspects of mobility and bringing together experts from around the world to discuss about the most relevant innovations and future trends and challenges of mobility and transport. TRA 2022 has been focused on promoting a more efficient, safer, carbon-free, inclusive, and sustainable transport in all its modes.
