MARBEL project meeting at Applus+IDIADA

MARBEL project meeting at Applus+IDIADA

On November 28th, the consortium of the European MARBEL project gathered at the Applus+ IDIADA facilities in Santa Oliva (Tarragona) for a coordination meeting.

The meeting was attended by representatives from all entities involved in the project, with the aim of reviewing the progress made so far and planning the next steps in the development of innovative batteries for electric vehicles. This included careful planning of the assembly of various batteries with the developed components, as well as their testing and technical validation.

The meeting featured several collaborative workshops on key topics to find solutions for various aspects of the project and move forward in a coordinated manner. Attendees had the opportunity to visit the electric mobility laboratories at Applus+IDIADA, the entity responsible for designing and developing a test bench for the validation of the batteries under real operating conditions. The test bench will enable performance testing of the batteries in electric vehicles, simulating different driving conditions and usage environments.

The MARBEL project, coordinated by Eurecat, focuses on the development of advanced batteries for electric vehicles. Funded by the Horizon 2020 program, the project’s main goal is to design and produce modular, lightweight, and sustainable batteries that enable more efficient and environmentally friendly mobility.
