Eurecat and IREC participate in the Battery Show Europe presenting the MARBEL project
The MARBEL project has been presented at the Battery Show Europe, the European’s leading meeting place for the advanced battery and hybrid/Electric Vehicle’s technology community, celebrated from 23rd – 25th of May in Stuttgart, Germany.
Partners from Eurecat, the project’s coordinator, and IREC have participated in the exhibition presenting the BATTECH initiative, as well as the MARBEL and COBRA projects, some of their research and innovation projects working in the field of advanced batteries and Electric Vehicles. The MARBEL project develops an innovative and competitive lightweight battery with the objective to accelerate the mass market take-up of electric and hybrid vehicles.

The Battery Show Europe provides attendees the chance to explore the latest products and solutions at the largest trade fair in Europe. It has brought together more than 6,000 attendees and more than 100 speakers and has presented a program with plenty of workshops, networking meetings, and training and education sessions covering topics related to batteries development and hybrid and Electric Vehicles innovative technologies.
The BATTECH initiative is a joint research and innovation unit designed to cover the whole of Southern Europe’s battery ecosystem R&D&I. Created in collaboration with IREC and Eurecat, the center encompasses research, development, and innovation across the entire value chain of the next generation of electric cells and batteries for the electric mobility with the goal to solve current and future challenges related to the 2nd life and batteries recycling.
