Contribution to MARBEL
ASAS will contribute directly to the production of the electrical car battery housing profiles system. Firstly, extrusion die will be designed and it will be approved with QFORM extrusion simulation program. New 6xxx aluminium alloy will be developed with JMatPro metallurgical simulation program. After confirmation of alloy and extrusion die, new developed aluminium alloy billets will be produced with direct chill casting process. After that, homogenization thermal treatment operation will apply to the billets to make billets’ microstructure stabilize and be ready to extrude. Characterization methods and quality control techniques will be used in order to provide desired properties by automotive industry for electrical cars.
